I'm so glad I don't have to present at the meeting. At least my prof is sweet enough to spare me from the embarrassment of presenting something i hardly know about. And thank God for profs who like it simple - no statistics, just answers and simple laymen terms. I like.
I'm still upset though. The rest of the projects that are in progress - the biofilm and Pocillopora recruitment stuff.. it's not going to be useful to answer the REEFRES deliverables! ~aCK~. So much for additional studies. But on hindsight, i'm not really wasting my time right? It's my little project. And I'm proud of my coral babies. The colonies are spawning so well this month. Some of 'em little ones are swimming around in a plastic bottle on my desk now. They can change shape - from oval to round and back! And they don't stay still at all.. uh uh. Kept trying to place them on cement blocks to settle and recruit as small corals, but those cheeky larvae kept bobbing off.
Hai~... it ain't easy at all stepping into someone else's shoes and taking over a project that is already in progress. I'm lousy in Stats, still growing in coral knowledge but getting really good at admin work and driving manual pick-ups. Hmmm... so what was my job title again??
But i'm starting to like my job. I like my prof though he's busy all the time and makes cold jokes. He is almost like a daddy figure instead of an employer. Heh...
The challenge remains though. After this Phuket meeting, I better start getting my act together.
1. MASTER STATISTICS!
2. RECOGNIZE CORAL RECRUITS AND IDENTIFY EM.
3. GET REEFRES PROJECTS IN ORDER.
